Role Description

As a Director's Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our video production team and ensuring the seamless execution of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about video production, highly organized, and eager to learn from experienced professionals in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Pre-production: Collaborate with the production team to plan and organize shoots, including location scouting, equipment preparation, and talent coordination.

  • Production Support: Assist during shoots by setting up and operating equipment, managing logistics, and ensuring a smooth workflow.

  • Post-production Assistance: Work closely with editors and post-production teams to organize and manage raw footage, create rough cuts, and assist with video editing tasks.

  • Administrative Tasks: Handle scheduling, paperwork, and other administrative duties to support the Director and production team.

  • Equipment Management: Maintain and organize video production equipment and inventory.

  • Creative Input: Contribute ideas and insights to the creative process, offering a fresh perspective on video concepts.

  • Problem-solving: Assist in troubleshooting technical issues that may arise during production.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A strong interest in video production and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of video equipment and technology is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A keen eye for detail and a creative mindset.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules.

  • Prior experience in a similar role or relevant coursework is a plus.
